Britain Set To Be Hotter Than Ibiza

BRITAIN will be hotter than IBIZA today as temperatures soar to 18C – and it is forecast to be even warmer next month.

Balmy temperatures will ring in the weekend after a run of sunny days, but soak it up while it lasts – April showers are on their way.

Early morning frost and fog, especially in the southwest, will clear later today to leave a fine day for most with “long spells of warm sunshine”, the Met Office said, ahead of a potential 19C scorcher tomorrow.

Met Office forecaster Richard Miles told The Sun Online: “Our temperature estimates for today have an upper range of 18 for London, possibly 19 tomorrow.

“The 30 day forecast does suggest we’re likely to see some high pressure areas later in April that would be likely to bring above average temperatures for the time of year, but it’s too early to give any definite temperatures.”

Yesterday temperatures hit 16.8C in Fyvie Castle, Scotland, while Sennybridge in Wales recorded lows of -3.2C.

Tonight will also be mainly dry, though outbreaks of rain are expected over Northern Ireland and Scotland.
