Tesco will now limit customers so they can buy no more than five of rationed items INCLUDING
Soaps
Antibacterial gels
Wipes and sprays
Dry pasta
UHT milk, and some tinned goods.
These rules apply in stores and online.
The supermarket is in talks with its suppliers to ensure customer demand is met.
Morrison’s and ASDA are also considering limiting stock on items and already have a 2 per customer limit on antibacterial gels.
Meanwhile, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose have yet to put limits on any items they sell in-store or online yet.
