EasyJet Holidays launching 28-day all-inclusive holidays ‘cheaper than staying at home’

We’re all feeling the pinch right now. Just when we thought we could have a break from the cost of rising energy bills, fuel and even butter, the pound decides to crash to a record low.

But rather than being stuck at home in a mental battle with the central heating, how about living abroad for a month?

We’re not talking backpacking and roughing it in a bid to save money; easyJet Holidays is launching a 28-day all-inclusive holiday which it claims is ‘cheaper than staying at home’ – over £200 cheaper, to be exact.

The travel company says its ‘Escape the UK’ holiday package is cheaper than the rising cost of the UK household’s monthly winter bills.

Priced at £650 per person for an entire month, the all-inclusive bundle includes travel, accommodation, food and costly outgoings like broadband and gym membership (score!)

With no fuel bills, petrol costs or grocery bills to pay whilst you’re holidaying it up, the holiday comes out a staggering £227 cheaper per person than staying in the UK according to ONS data, which was looked at by a personal finance expert, according to the company.

The data shows that the average person spends £877 per person, per 28 days on bills like rent, gas and electric, water, entertainment streaming services, food shop, takeaways and dinners out, Wi-Fi and travel expenses.

But Brits who swap out their bills over this period and book a 28-day stay in the five-star Stella Gardens Resort in Egypt will instead enjoy all-inclusive meals at the world-renowned resort restaurant.

On top of this, a free spa and gym membership will be waiting for you, as well as free Wi-Fi and TV streaming services.

And for all those peckish moments, snacks and a bottomless supply of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are also on offer to holidaymakers.

The brand says the forgiving price is based on flights departing from London Gatwick and Bristol on 3 January 2023, while in Manchester and London Luton you’ll be jetting off on 4 January 2023 – meaning you can truly beat the winter blues.

The combined longer-length stay with Egypt’s dreamy 20°C average in the winter months in the balmy Makadi Bay makes it the perfect work-from-home getaway – just remember to turn your camera off whilst taking those Zoom meetings by the pool.

You won’t need to worry about stuffing all your favourite holiday wears into a tiny carry-on, either. As the price includes a 23kg hold bag per person for each member of your party you choose to bring along with you.

But honestly, if you wanted to solo-travel this one, we wouldn’t blame you.
