POUNDLAND has launched a new gold-coloured vibrator – and it’s 80 per cent cheaper than luxury rivals including Lovehoney and Ann Summers.
The new £1 Caress sex toy arrives in stores this week and is described by the retailer as “small, slim and super strong”.
Plus, it comes with batteries included.
As Poundland stores have been allowed to stay open during the coronavirus lockdown, customers will be able to pick one up as part of their next essential shop.
Sadly, Poundland doesn’t have an online store.
This isn’t the first time the budget retailer has sold vibrators – it first launched a bullet toy in 2016 and says it was an “instant best seller”.
The new Caress toy is around £5 cheaper than the lowest priced vibrator you’ll find by Ann Summers.
It’s also £6 less expensive than the cheapest toy being sold by Lovehoney.
The launch comes just days after Poundland unveiled a 25 per cent surge in the sale of pregnancy test kits.
Because of this, the budget retailer says it’s expecting a lockdown baby boom early next year.
The £1 pregnancy tests are by a brand called “firstvue”.
As well as pregnancy tests, Poundland also stocks condoms and lubricating jelly as part of its “Nooky” range.
Shauna Falconer, Poundland buyer, said: “Now that the weather has turned cooler and wetter, here’s something for an indoor activity that hits the spot.
“It’s clear that people have been making their own entertainment during lockdown, as the rise in pregnancy test sales show.”
Poundland has around 800 shops in the UK although 100 are temporarily closed due to corona virus.
